“This is John’s first solo album, originally released 2019.

It has now been remastered with one extra track added, (clouds across the sun) this is a collection of beautifully crafted melodic songs.

It still has its rockers to be sure but is more instrumentally acoustic and you can hear the band starting to come together as the album progresses.

A good introduction to this artists writing and playing abilities. It’s also a superb collection of songs that dovetails perfectly into his second album “Blue”.

If you get the opportunity to see John Lyons and band live, enjoy these songs and more as some get extended with fine musicianship.

I found ‘Distant Light’ to be a wonderful long distance driving or late at night listening album, full of surprises. A truly wonderfull experience.”
